Did you know that slavery is still legal. Article 1, Section 6of the Ohio Constitution states, “There shall be no slavery in this state; nor involuntary servitude, unless for the punishment of crime.” This mirrors the 13th Amendment in the U.S. Constitution.
As United States of America celebrates it 250th birthday, we must hold her accountable. There can be no Reparations without repealing the exception clause. Sign the petition and tell our Ohio Congress to pass House Joint Resolution 5. No slavery! No exceptions! Freedom now!
